10 Weeks Pregnant:

During the 10 weeks the baby’s heart is now fully formed. The babies heart is now beating 3 times faster that the mothers heart.  The baby’s eyes are forming.  At the end of the week, the outside ears will be developed.  

The baby is over an inch long crown to bottom. The 10 week is also refer as the fetal period because the organs and tissues rapidly grow.

Any signs of fetal developments have significantly decreased when you reach the 10th week.

Pregnancy Week 10 Fetal Development

In week 10, the embryo is now a fetus.  The fetus is the size of a strawberry.  The fetus feet are 2mm long. 

 The fetus is developing the neck, the body muscles, it’s starting to shift, and the jaws are set in the right place.  The hair follicles, nipples, and fingerprint are forming.

10 Weeks Pregnancy Baby Size

Your baby is about the size of a strawberry. The baby length is about 1.2 inches. The baby jawbones are starting to develop. The baby’s heart now is fully formed.  The baby is also starting to gain weight.

Body Changes During Week 10 of Pregnancy

The uterus will enlarge as the pregnancy develops.  The body is going through many changes and increase of pregnancy hormones levels gives you the pregnancy glow.  

For majority of women, they get the pregnancy glow and others break out due to the excessive facial oil glands.

What Does 10 Weeks Pregnant
Look Like?

At the 10 weeks you might not be showing a belly yet.  It’s to early in the pregnancy to see any outside physical change but many changes are happening inside.

10 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound

The ultrasound scan will reflect the baby length. It will also let you see, the inner organs.  The baby should be having some hair growth. Usually around the 10 weeks you will also be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat.

Prenatal Testing During Pregnancy Week 10

In week 10 your doctor can perform genetic test. The genetic test helps to determine any heredity or congenital disorders.

The test done during week 10 is non-invasive and a couple of blood samples are collected from the baby’s DNA.
