In week12, the pituitary glands start producing hormones. Also the brain nerve cells are developing pretty fast.
Internal Organ Development:
The hormone progesterone causes digestion to slow down. Many women most frequent complain during week 12 are problems with digestion such as constipation or diarrhea during pregnancy.
The lungs are also continuing their progression. Also the pancreases are developed by now to be able to produce insulin.
The baby is now able to move their hands and feet since they fully grown. The reflexes are stating to take place. The baby might start sucking his thumb during week 12.

During week 12 many moms are not big enough to start showing a belly. However, if you’re carrying twins or over weight then you might start showing during this week.
12 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound:
The first ultrasound is usually done in week 12. The baby’s genital organs are almost fully completed the sonographer might be able to tell the baby’s gender. The ultrasound can detect your baby moving and stretching around.
