During the 15 week of pregnancy you’re entering the third week of the second trimester. 

For the most part many women are easing out of the first trimester symptoms such as morning sickness, food cravings, and insomnia.

In week 15 during  pregnancy, your baby is the size of a navel orange.

Developing Of The Fetus In 15th Week Of Pregnancy

 The fetus now weights about 2.5 ounces and measures nearly 4 inches crown to rump. The fingernails are fully formed. The joints and limbs of the fetus are fully formed.

The baby lungs are developing due to the baby inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid. 

The baby now can sense light. Lastly, the baby legs are growing rapidly.

Body Changes During The 15th Week Of Pregnancy

At 15 weeks of pregnancy you are probably already showing. It’s normal to have weigh gain from five to ten pounds. 

It might be anywhere from ten to twenty pounds if your carrying twins. You might also feel bloating.

During the 15 weeks there is not need to do screening test. However, for women over 35 years there are routine exams performed. These test are only done for women who have a high-risk pregnancies.

  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Don’t take over the counter medicine during pregnancy
