18 Weeks Pregnant:

As you move into the 18 week of your pregnancy your getting closer to the second trimester.  A lot of important test are perform during the second trimester between the 18th and 22th weeks. 

The baby is very active this week rolling and tumbling in the womb. The baby is the size of sweet potato.

The baby is five and half inches long from crown to rump and weight five ounces.

Baby Development In 18th Week Of Pregnancy

The baby is developing fast during week 18 in your pregnancy. The baby is about 5 ½ inches long and weights about 7 ounces. The baby now can flex his arms and legs in the womb. 

 The baby’s blood vessels are visible through the clear skin. During week 18th the baby ears are finally settling in the final position.

How Big Is Your Baby?

The baby is around 5.6 inches long. The baby now weighs around 7 ounces.

Fetal Movements At Week 18

You’ll start noticing fetal movement around 18 weeks to 20 weeks of your pregnancy.  Many women confuse the baby movements for early symptoms or gas. If it’s your second pregnancy then you’ll most likely tell the difference.

Your Belly And Body Changes
This Week

During week 18th, your baby bump is more noticeable.  At week 18, you probably notice some weight gain.   The baby is developing more than before during week 18.

You might feel bigger, the baby bump is a lot more noticeable, you might notice stretched skin around your back, belly, and breast.  The most common weight gain during the second trimester is around 12 lbs to 10 lbs.

And Ultrasound

At week 18th, the ultrasound takes a close look at your baby and your womb. The sonographer will be able to check the baby’s development. 

The ultrasound scan helps to make sure the baby is developing normally.
