25 Weeks Pregnant:

Congratulations, for been halfway through the sixth month of your pregnancy. The baby hearing is matured enough to be able to respond to loud noises. 

 The baby is moving vigorously and any loud noise may make him or her jump and kick.

The 25th Week

There are many changes happening to your baby during week 25. Your baby’s brain continues to develop as the cortex forms layers. All the nerve cells are now on the surface of your baby’s brain.  The baby now is constantly kicking and stretching.

 The lanugo begins to disappear. The baby also is responsive to noise.  Also your baby’s first bowel movement has been forming in the large intestine.

Head to heels your baby now measures about 13 ½ inches.  The baby is the size of a cauliflower.

Belly And Body Changes During Pregnancy During Week 25

At pregnancy week 25 your baby is growing fast and your probably noticing tons of movements in your belly.  The uterus is roughly the size of a soccer ball.  The uterus can be felt halfway between the belly button and sternum.

You might feel discomfort because of the baby pushing organs to make space for himself.  Your breasts are a lot larger and getting ready for breastfeeding by producing yellowing fluid called colostrum.

Managing your weight gain during your pregnancy is important.  During your pregnancy you have to eat more to nourish your growing baby, but managing your calorie intake is important. 

Eating for two is a misconception makes sure to take this time to make healthier choices and start feeding your body more vegetables and fruits. 

Make sure to tame down your cravings since they can truly sabotage your attempts to make healthier choices. The doctor might recommend gaining one pound every week after the third trimester.

25 Weeks Pregnant Tests
And Ultrasound

At week 25 it’s recommended to get your blood pressure taken. The test will detect any risk of preeclampsia. Another common test is the glucose-screening test it helps to detect any gestational diabetes.

The early signs and symptoms of pregnancy have decreased. However, they are many new symptoms happening in 25 weeks pregnant:
