Arriving at Pregnancy week 32 has to feel good. At week 32, you’re well into the eighth month of your pregnancy. 

Majority of the discomforts subsided and you may be bothered by a list of old and new complaints such as shortness of breathe, pelvic pain, and other complications.

 If you were to have a premature labor the baby has survivor chance of 95 % with out any abnormalities or complications.

Baby Development

External Appearance

The baby’s skin is plumping up nicely thanks to the fatty layer developing under his skin.  Your stomach may feel a bit flattened out as your baby takes up so much space.  At week 32, he might have a full head of hair. During this week the hair is also starting to get some pigmentation.

Internal Organs

Majority of all the organs are developed completely at week 32 of pregnancy.

The lungs are still maturing and getting ready to work in a couple of weeks.

During this stage his digestive track is developing and he is still receiving all of his nutrients from the umbilical cord.

Bone Development

The skeleton is hardening and calcifying and is visible on ultrasound.

32nd Week of Pregnancy: Fetal Movement and Breech Position

At 32 weeks of gestation age, your baby sleeps 90 to 95 percent of the day.  The baby will have short periods were he is active.  The baby is growing rapidly having less space to move around so his kicks and punches might feel a bit lighter that previously before.  

By week 31, you have noticed the sleep wake cycles patterns. Majority of baby’s at week 30 have already positioned themselves head down.

During this stage the amniotic fluid volume is increasing weekly. At week 32, the volume of fluid is usually at 1. 5 liters.

With Twins

If your having twins the growth rate slows down. The babies are now sharing the nutrients you eat to be at an ideal weight. It’s important to talk with your doctor about the amount of calorie intake you should have when expecting twins.

How Big Is Your Baby?

At week 32, the baby is around 16.7 inches long. He weighs about 3.75 pounds. He is about the size of a large jicama.

Pregnancy Week 32: Weight Gain, Belly, And Body Changes

Each week your uterus continues to grow.  The top uterus can now be felt about five inches above your bellybutton. Expect to gain about 1 pound per week in the third trimester. Your body is getting prepared for childbirth by producing relaxing hormones. The hormones are responsible for loosening the joints and muscles. 

Your belly will continue to grow through out the next couple of weeks. The breast is producing tons of yellowish fluid colostrum getting reading for breast-feeding. You might notice your breast leaking from time to time.

32 Weeks Pregnant Tests And Ultrasound

The prenatal routine at week 32 consists of checking blood pressure, urines test, and check for signs of complications.

The early signs and symptoms of pregnancy have decreased. However, they are many new symptoms happening in 32 weeks pregnant:
