Fatigue During Pregnancy

Fatigue during pregnancy is very common. It usually tends to affect the pregnant body in the first trimester, by the second trimester it goes away, then returns later in the third trimester.  

Exhaustion, tiredness, fatigue in pregnancy is particularly common and even pregnant women have reported constant tiredness before they’re showing.  Even though it’s a common issue during pregnancy make sure to always consult with your doctor the way you feel.

What Causes Pregnancy Fatigue?

There’s not particular reason what causes pregnancy fatigue. Many experts blame it on all raging hormones that take over the pregnant body causing all types of changes. 

 The reason your feeling so fatigue is from all the hormones passing through your body helping the baby growth. 

Reasons Why You're Feeling Fatigue During Pregnancy

There are many reasons why you're feeling tired all the time. Here are some of the most common reasons:

  • You’re not getting enough sleep at night. Your staying up late at night. 
  • Increase levels of hormone progesterone will make tired and sleepier.
  • By the third trimester your carrying the extra weight.
  • Your heart is working harder to increase in blood volume for your baby.
  • Distributing vital nutrients with the baby also takes a lot from your body leaving you fatigue.

Treatment of Fatigue In Pregnancy

Naturally increasing levels of progesterone during pregnancy causes the feeling of fatigue.

Think about it, your body is making a whole new person; it does require and take tons of energy. Here are some common treatments to treat fatigue in pregnancy.

  • Avoid dehydration make sure to drink tons of fluid.
  • Listen to your body, if your tired make sure to get plenty of rest.
  • Make sure to power naps through out the day to restore some energy back to your body.
  • Avoid eating caffeine at all times.
  • Make healthier choices full of rich protein and vegetables in your daily diet intake.

How Long Does Fatigue Last During Pregnancy

In most pregnancy the fatigue usually last during the first trimester, and then it goes away in the second trimester, and comes back in the third trimester.

During your pregnancy the best thing you can do is listen to your body and do not do anything additional that will cause additional strain to make you more tired.
